International Logistic Management
Khurmala Dome is the northern section of the Kirkuk field and is located 35 kilometers southwest of Erbil. KAR Group, an Iraqi based oil services company, operates the field. Processing capacity at the field is 200,000 b/d following an expansion in 2018. Oil is delivered to the Erbil refinery and to the export terminal at Ceyhan via Pipeline.
The project is in Basra governate south of Iraq, approximately 50 km to the west of Basra city and the area of the power station is 340 Acres. The Simple cycle gas turbine station which was constructed previously belongs to the Iraqi Ministry of Electricity (MOE). The existing simple cycle gas turbine power plant is composed of five (5) units of Siemens Model gas turbine SGT5 PAC 4000F & Gas Generator SGen5-1000A designed for 293 MW each and the total capacity of the Simple Cycle Power Plant is 1465MW, and this plant runs on Natural Gas. The combined cycle units have been successfully completed and it is generating power to supply to the Ministry of Electricity.
The Power Plant Project is located in Basra Governate, South of Iraq, approximately 10 Km to the west from the Al-Basra city, and the area of the Power Station is 440 Acres. The Simple cycle gas station works on three types of fuel (natural gas, Gas oil, and heavy fuel), which was constructed previously, belongs to the Iraqi Ministry of Electricity (MOE). The station is composed of ten units (GE Model PG9171 and each unit is 125 MW) with a total capacity of the simple cycle of 1250 MW. The combined cycle units help to improve the efficiency and reliability of the Iraqi electrical grid system by producing additional electrical power without extra fuel consumption depending on exhaust gases of the simple cycle gas station.
Began production in 2016 the plant capacity is about 2,100,000 tons per year of Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC), Sulphate Resistant Cement (SRC), Limestone CEM II and Oil Well Cement (OWC Class G).
Began production in 2017 with a capacity of two million tons per year of Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC).
The Kalak Refinery is operated by KAR Oil & Gas, a member of the KAR Group. Operations began in July 2009, processing 20,000 b/d of crude oil from the Khurmala Dome formation of the Kirkuk field to produce diesel, kerosene and fuel oil.
